Our dustless drilling system is designed to capture approximately 98% of the dust generated during drilling, significantly reducing the amount of airborne dust and debris released into the surrounding area.

However, no drilling system can realistically guarantee that absolutely no dust or debris will escape. Minor spillages can occasionally occur, particularly when working on older brickwork, mortar joints or uneven surfaces.

The difference is that, rather than allowing the majority of the drilling dust to spread around your property, our specialist extraction equipment captures it as the hole is being drilled.

We use professional Bosch SDS drilling equipment connected directly to a Bosch M-Class dust extraction vacuum.

As the hole is drilled through the mortar joint or brickwork, dust is captured at source and drawn directly through the extraction hose into the Bosch M-Class vacuum, rather than being allowed to spread around the work area.

This system is designed to capture approximately 98% of the dust generated during drilling, significantly reducing airborne dust and the amount that settles around your property.

While we don’t claim the process is 100% dust-free — minor dust or debris can occasionally escape depending on the condition of the brickwork — the difference is substantial.

Once drilling is complete, the wall tie is installed, the holes are made good and the working area is cleaned.

When drilling through brickwork to install replacement wall ties, some dust and masonry debris entering the cavity is unavoidable. However, the amount can be significantly reduced by controlling the dust and debris at the point where the hole is drilled.

Our Bosch SDS drilling equipment is connected to a Bosch M-Class dust extraction vacuum, allowing the dust and fine masonry particles to be captured at source as the hole is being drilled.

This means less loose material is left around the drilled hole and less debris is able to fall through into the cavity behind the brickwork.

WHY DOES THIS MATTER?

Excessive masonry debris inside a cavity can potentially build up against cavity insulation or other materials. By removing the majority of the drilling dust and fine debris as we work, we help reduce the amount of material entering the cavity in the first place.

Our system is designed to capture approximately 98% of the dust generated during drilling, rather than allowing it to fall into the cavity or spread around the surrounding area.

It doesn’t mean that zero debris will enter the cavity — drilling through masonry will always create some debris — but capturing it at source means significantly less material is left behind inside the cavity.

It’s another reason we use dust extraction as standard on our wall tie replacement work — not as an optional extra, but as part of carrying out the work in a cleaner and more controlled way.
